Community Homes

McGuire Memorial community homes, situated throughout the surrounding Western Pennsylvania communities, offer private residential living for individuals with mild to severe disabilities. Here, residents enjoy total care within one-floor living private home environments, all with accessible (ADA standard) doors, bathrooms, and entrances, renovated to meet comfort and functional needs.

Residents, with a maximum of four residents per home, enjoy camaraderie and a familial setting. They experience an independence within a safe and supportive living environment, an environment where highly trained in-house staff attend to their daily personal care 24 hours a day. Nursing and medical staff, therapists, and behavioral specialists are on-call around the clock, if needed.

Each home has its own van so that staff transport each resident to either The School at McGuire Memorial or to work or training at McGuire Memorial's Adult Day Programs. Each week staff accompany residents to a variety of activities enjoyed such as bowling, movies, dinner, etc. Staff also ensure that every resident can attend the weekly worship of their choice.
