McGuire's day services include:
- The School at McGuire Memorial — is a private
school licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, operating
within a traditional 180-day school year, serving school-age students with
mild to severe mental retardation, autism, physical and developmental disabilities,
and those who are medically fragile with complex, multiple disabilities.
Other components of the Education Center are a pre-school and an additional
Transition Program for Students with Autism (ages 18-21).
The school offers comprehensive academic programs based on the specific individual needs of each student.
Students from an ever-increasing number of school districts throughout Western Pennsylvania commute daily to attend McGuire's school. Transportation is provided by the student's school district.
- Adult Day Programs — McGuire Memorial offers
programs for adults with disabilities:
- St. Joseph the Worker Employment Option Center
- Life Enrichment Center
The programs are designed to address specific needs of those with various levels of mental retardation—from those with mild to moderate disabilities to those with significant mental and physical disabilities, to those with profound, complex, multiple disabilities.
Each program is designed to provide adults with the support, experiences, and skills necessary as they make their journey through adulthood.
